The Challenge
Warehouses and distribution centres have more overhead surface area than almost any other building type, and the highest ceilings. Thirty to fifty feet of steel trusses, purlins, sprinkler lines and high bay lighting, all collecting dust from forklift traffic, cardboard fibre, pallet wood and whatever moves through the facility.
Cardboard and pallet dust in particular builds up quickly and is combustible. Because the accumulation is forty feet up and spread across a very large area, it goes unnoticed until it starts dropping onto stock or a fire inspection raises it.
Racking makes the work harder. The aisles are narrow, the racking obstructs both ground-based reach and lift access, and in an active DC there is rarely a time when a whole zone is empty.
Surfaces We Clean
Steel trusses and open-web joists, roof deck and purlins, high bay and LED light fixtures, sprinkler mains and branch lines, unit heaters and duct runs, dock door tracks and headers, and the tops of racking, mezzanines and conveyor structures.
Safety & Scheduling
We work in zones around your racking and traffic patterns, coordinating with your team on forklift routes and exclusion areas. Work beneath active cleaning is controlled and barricaded. Powered access in narrow aisles is planned in advance and operated by licensed, Working at Heights trained personnel.
