Mapleview Mall

Mapleview Mall's soaring atrium ceilings, decorative chandeliers, and skylights sit well above the reach of any ground-based tool alone. Years of accumulated dust on architectural features and light fixtures were visible to every shopper walking through the centre court, and the mall needed a crew that could safely work at height in a space that stays open and busy throughout the day.

The project combined powered access equipment — scissor lifts and boom lifts — to reach atrium ceilings, skylights, and structural features up to 75 feet, with detailed hand and ground-based work on the mall's decorative chandeliers. Work was scheduled and zoned to keep the centre court safely operating around the crew.

Every lift operator on site holds current Working at Heights certification, and each lift move was preceded by a documented hazard assessment of the surrounding retail traffic, flooring, and overhead obstructions. Controlled zones with signage and spotters kept shoppers and staff clear of the work area at all times.

Camera-mounted cleaning heads let the crew confirm coverage on ceiling surfaces and chandelier details that are effectively impossible to inspect from the ground, even with the naked eye from a lift basket. Every pass was visually verified before the crew moved to the next zone.

Mapleview Mall's atrium, skylights, and chandeliers were restored to a dust-free, showroom finish — delivered safely, on schedule, and without interrupting the shopping centre's operating hours.
